Biography

"... A pianist full of passion and exciting technically capable of reaching the top of expressiveness beyond any possible expectation" (David W.Moore-American Record Guide). So one of the most important magazines in the U.S. has defined this Italian pianist. An eclectic musician with a repertoire ranging from Bach to Morricone he has been student under the guidance of the great pianist and teacher Fausto Zadra at the prestigious "Ecole Internationale du Piano" (Lausanne, Switzerland) where he obtained a “Soloist Diploma” and after he became his assistant. He is considered one of the most interesting Italian pianists of his generation. He was a finalist and awarded in national and international competitions C.Czerny, City of Como, City of Tradate, Stresa, Pisa. In 1994 he was a finalist in the "International Piano Competition Eduard Flipse" in Rotterdam (Netherlands), the only Italian in the history of the competition. In the same year he was chosen by the Fondation "Ciem-Mozart" in Lausanne with other international musicians from all over the world to give a series of concerts in various countries of Europe within the project "European Pianists and the Chamber Music" placed into the cultural project "Kaleidoscope" of the European Community. He has an important discography that boasts five CDs for prestigious Italian and European record labels ( Velut Luna , Phoenix Classics , Neos Music GmbH ), which include the chamber music of Frank Bridge and Frederic Chopin as well as performances of songs in world premiere absolute such as " Velut Laurens " for solo piano by Tiziano Bedetti ( Phoenix Classics) and "Eco immobile " by Osvaldo Coluccino ( Neos Music GmbH ) with the string Quartet of the "Gran Teatro La Fenice" . Thanks to the extraordinary quality of execution and interpretation by all of his albums have received flattering appreciation from national and international press ( Diapason Revue , Classical CD , Gramophone Magazine , Notes, net, American Record Guide , Music Web International Review, Classic Voice , Skug Journal of Music ) .His great passion for chamber music has seen him collaborate with prestigious musicians such as Emmanuele Baldini, Eujene Nimura, Enzo Ligresti, Bruno Ispiola, Emanuele Silvestri, String Quartet of the Teatro La Fenice and has given master classes of piano in Italy and Spain. In 2004 he founded the prestigious International Piano Competition "Fausto Zadra" (now in its 7th edition) which is the Artistic Director. Numerous awards including in 2009 the prestigious "Paul Harris Fellow" awarded by Rotary International Foundation in appreciation and gratitude for its tangible and significant contribution in promoting better mutual understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world . It has deepened and enriched his career and his training as with other great musicians such as Aldo Ciccolini for the piano, Riccardo Brengola and Giuseppe Garbarino for the chamber and contemporary music at the Chigi Music Academy.His great interest and his passion for the great repertoire of soundtrack composers such as John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Howard Shore, James Horner, Luis Bacalov led him to write and produce the project in the form of multimedia concert "The Cinema in Music ... images between the notes "in duo with the violinist Enzo Ligresti, arranging for violin and piano music taken from the most famous movies of the last thirty years. The project was hosted by the "Classical Music World" as part of the concert events promoted by the "Steinway Society" of Verona. He is often invited as a jury member in prestigious international piano competitions.
