Took lessons at age 12 for about 8 months. with a private music teacher
was taken ill for about a year & later was told not to continue taking lessons for quite a while because it was too stressful later on we were not able to afford private lessons but I continued to learn on my own , eventually I bought a piano of my own & have had one ever since. I learned enough to play for church choirs, but I never learned my timing very well. I know my 3/4, 4/4 , half , whole ,1/4 notes pretty well but I do have trouble with anything more difficult . I have not played for quite a number of years . This last year I was given a piano &I fell in love with the tone & took an interest in playing again. I have been practicing every day because it brings me much joy. I am now 75 yrs old & am having so much fun learning new pieces,
