Barossa Quintet, Quintet

Biography

Founded in 1999, The Barossa Quintet is quickly
gaining a reputation as one of Chicago's most versatile ensembles. The Quintet
has performed on Chicago's Music in the Loft chamber music series and
has developed and presented educational programs through the International
Music Foundation and the Ravinia Festival's Music in Education program. The
Barossa Quintet has performed recitals at Northwestern University, Elmhurst
College, the Sherwood Conservatory of Music, and at Ravinia Festival's Bennett
Gordon Hall.

Leslie Fagan is currently Second Flutist with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra,
and a substitute for the Chicago and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestras. She is
earning a Doctorate of Music in flute performance at Northwestern University
where she studies with Waifrid Kujala. She was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and performed with that
group at Carnegie Hall under Daniel Barenboim. Recent solo performances include
appearances with the Zion Chamber Orchestra, the Bach Chamber Choir, and the
Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra. A Myrna Brown Artist Competition finalist,
Leslie received a Bachelor of Music from Indiana University and a Master of
Music from Northwestern University. Her principal teachers include Walfrid
Kujala, Trevor Wye, Peter Lloyd, and Kathryn Lukas.

Jennet Ingle is currently Principal Oboist of the Illinois Symphony and a
graduate of the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Richard
Killmer. She teaches oboe at Valparaiso University and through DePaul
University's Community Music Division, and serves on the faculty of the Pine
Mountain Music Festival. She is a former member of the Civic Orchestra of
Chicago and the Spoleto-USA Festival Orchestra. A 2001 Farwell Award winner,
Jennet is an active freelancer and has performed with the Chicago Symphony
Orchestra. For the past three years she has owned and operated Jennet Ingle
Reeds, a growing business specializing in customized oboe, English horn, and
oboe d'amore reeds.

Audrey Schadt has performed concerts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She
was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago when the orchestra made its
debut at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Daniel I3arenboim. She has also
played with the South Bend, Elgin, and Northbrook Symphonies. Audrey obtained her
Bachelor of Music from DePaul University. Her primary teachers were Larry
Combs, John Yeh, and Julie DeRoche. She also teaches clarinet privately at
several Chicago area schools.

Jennifer Lanter currently plays Fourth Horn in the Illinois Symphony Orchestra.
She has performed with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the National Repertory
Orchestra, the New World Symphony, and many other orchestras, including
Rochester and Albany, NY. Jennifer received a Master of Music from Northwestern
University and a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music. Her
primary teachers have included Gail Williams, Peter Kurau, and Bruce Hennis.
She currently teaches horn at the Sherwood Conservatory of Music and Elmhurst
College.

Steve Ingle is Instructor of Bassoon at Valparaiso
University. He has been a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the
Spoleto-USA Festival Orchestra, and the Pine Mountain Music Festival Orchestra.
An extensive freelance career has led him to perform with many orchestras,
including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Steve currently serves as Music
Director of the Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra in Homewood, IL. He holds
degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Eastman School of
Music.
