Biography
The Duo Lopez-Cafiero was founded in Milan in 2009 by two already well known young musicians: Martina Lopez, who was born in 1988, is solo cello assistant in the orchestra of Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Clelia Cafiero, born in 1986, has won several prizes (among them, "Premio Assami" and premio "Daniele Paris"), she is piano teacher and conductor.
Laureated in many international chamber music competitions, it has obtained 1st prize and "Rovere d'Oro prize" in the "Rovere d'Oro 2010" competition (Imperia), 1st prize in the "Luigi Nono 2010" competition (Torino) and in "C. Togni" competition ( Brescia, 2010), 2nd prize in "Guido Papini 2010" competition (Camaiore) and 3rd prize in "Hyperion 2010" competition (Rome).
