Highlight performances include Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall and Bohemian National Hall in New York; Royce Hall in Los Angeles; the First International Art Festival in Kyrgyzstan; Schlern International Music Festival in Italy; the festivals Musical Spring, Silver Lyre and Oskolkov & Friends in St Petersburg (Russia); the Fine Arts Palace and the Black and White International Piano Festival in Mexico.
They were the only ensemble awarded with an Honorary Mention at the 2009 Web Concert Hall music competition. Their recital in Dallas, Texas was named among the best concerts of 2011 by the performing arts magazine Theater Jones. With the intention of supporting and promoting young talent they created the concert series “Duo Petrof presents” in 2012. Anatoly and Vlada are professors at the University of Colima in Mexico.
Anatoly Zatin graduated from the St Petersburg Conservatory with PhD in composition and MM in piano performance and orchestral conducting. His compositions are performed by renowned artists all over the world. In his multiple facets as musician he has been acclaimed by audiences in Russia, Ukraine, Japan, China, Korea, UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Estonia, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Guatemala, Mexico, Canada and the United States.
Vlada Vassilieva is winner of the Nadia Reisenberg piano prize in New York (2010), Fulbright grantee, performing arts fellow by the National Foundation for Culture and Arts in Mexico, laureate of international piano competitions in Mexico, Unites States, Canada and Ukraine. She studied with Anatoly Zatin at the University of Colima and with Pavlina Dokovska at Mannes College of Music. The audience and critics appreciate her mature performances, strong character and stage presence.
