Biography

Erich Gebers, an avid cellist and tenor from Lincoln, Nebraska, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a minor in Educational Studies at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he studies cello with Dr. Noah Rogoff and works as a teacher assistant with the UNK String Project. He began his cello studies at the age of nine in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln String Project. During his years as a cellist, he has played in numerous ensembles, including the Nebraska All-State Orchestra, Lincoln Youth Symphony, Kearney Symphony Orchestra, UNK Chamber Orchestra, and the Thornton String Quartet, as well as accompanying numerous choral and instrumental musicians. He has also performed as a tenor in various choirs including the Lincoln St. Paul United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, the Kearney First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, and the UNK Choraleers, as well as achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
