Irene Veneziano was born in Angera (Varese), Italy, in 1985 and started to play piano at the age of 9, under the supervision of Caterina Sibilia.

A student of Massimo Neri, she graduated from the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato G. Puccini in Gallarate in 2005 with top marks and a special mention. 
In February 2008 she passed the Level II Academic Diploma for piano at the 
G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan (M° Edda Ponti) with top marks and a special mention.
In June 2008 she passed with top marks the specialist piano Diploma held by M° 
Sergio Perticaroli at the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome. She was also awarded the Giuseppe Sinopoli Scholarship 2008 which is destined for the best degree student from the Santa Cecilia Academy. She received the award from Giorgio Napolitano, the President of the Italian Republic.
In September 2008 she obtained her Diploma of Chamber music with a "Master" pass (special mention) at the
International Piano Academy in Imola (M° Pier Narciso Masi and Trio Altenberg) in a duo with the flautist Manuela Romanelli.
In 2009 she obtained the diploma of "Didattica della musica" at the 
G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan.  

She was awarded in about 30 national and international piano competitions, often receiving special prizes and mentions. 

She was semifinalist in the 16th "International Piano Competition Fryderyk Chopin" in Warsaw 2010. 
Winner of the 
Prix Jean Clostre-Prix du Jury at the Les jeudis du piano competition in Geneva 2008, she also won the 2nd Prize at the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in New York, the 1st Prize at the "Premio delle Arti" 2009 organized by Miur, the "Premio Koliqi" 2010, and also the Alfredo Casella prize at the prestigious Premio Venezia piano competition. 

Irene Veneziano was featured on "The Pianist" broadcast of Radio Classica and has also performed live on Radio Suisse Romande in Geneva for the "Espace 2" station. Her interviews appeared in Tvs (TeleEtere, AzzurraTv), Radios (PuntoRadio, MWRadio) and magazines (LombardiaOggi, ViviLombardia, Suonare News, Nuove Dissonanze). 

She has taken part in several master classes held by Alessandro MaffeiEmilia Fadini (harpsichord and fortepiano), Franco Scala, M. Vidlund, M. Roscoe, D. Merlet, Kostantin Bogino, Sergio Perticarol(also at the Mozarteum in Salzburg) and Joaquin Achucarro.  

She played in Italy and abroad for important festivals (Festival des Serres d'Auteuil and Festival in Salle Cortot in Paris, 5th Eilat Chamber Music Festival in Israel, Menuhin Festival de Gstaad, Festival Piano à Saint-Ursanne, Société des Arts in Genève, Società dei Concerti in Milano, MITO Settembre Musica, Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, Los Angeles Italia Festival, and festivals in Singapore, Seoul, Hanoi, Podgorica, Tirana, Warsaw, Tunisi, Amman, Trelleborg, New Haven, Ottawa..).

In January 2011 she had her debut at the Scala Theatre in Milan in a chamber music concert together with some of the leading players of the theatre's orchestra, having great success from public and critics. 

Irene Veneziano performs regularly with the famous flautists Andrea Griminelli and Andrea Oliva (1st flute Orchestra "S. Cecilia" in Rome) in Italy and abroad, with the first bassoon of the Teatro Alla Scala Valentino Zucchiatti and with the violinist of the Teatro Alla Scala Daniele Pascoletti.

She has also collaborated with important artists as Terpsycordes Quatuor, Melica Quatuor, Julia Dinerstein (viola), Nicola Bulfone (clarinet), the tenor Saimir Pirgu, and the flautists William Bennett, Matteo Evangelisti, Alice Morzenti and Angela Citterio.

In May 2008 Irene took part in the prestigious Falaut Festival for flutes, collaborating in courses held by MaestrosKudo, Blau and Cambursano, and playing in recitals with flutists, Matteo Evangelisti and Andrea Griminelli.
As piano accompanist she works in flute master classes of well-known flutists such as 
Maurizio Valentini, Glauco Cambursano, Davide Formisano, J. C. Gérard, Andrea Oliva, Bruno Cavallo, William Bennett and Gabriele Gallotta
