Kazuhiro Takagi studied violin in Osaka and Kyoto with Pierre Dukan and in Lyon, France with Jean Estournet and Yuko Mori at the National Superior Conservatory of Music, and privately with Eduard Wulfson. In the United States, he studied with Eduard Schmieder at Southern Methodist University in Texas and at the Chicago College of Performing Arts with Yuko Mori. Mr. Takagi served as concertmaster of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for the 2001-2002 season. His numerous prizes include 6th Prize at the 54th Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition (Belgium) and 3rd Prize at the Geneva International Music Competition.
