Kevin Chang, 15, finished his sophomore year at the Illinois Mathematics and Science
Academy in June 2004. He has been studying piano with Emilio del Rosario at the Music Institute of Chicago since he was seven. He
has won numerous prizes including 2nd place in the Illinois State Music Teachers Association piano competition, 1st,
2nd, and 3rd places in the Chinese Fine Arts Society piano contest, and 2nd
place in the SAM piano competition. He has also played at the Skokie Library Steinway Young Artists Series. As an avid member of
Science Olympiad, he has competed at regional and state levels for three years running. He also has received many medals for his
accomplishments in his events. He has a keen interest in robotics and hopes to attend M.I.T and pursue a career in engineering. His
other interests include basketball, football, and computers.
