Biography

Pianist Lyudmila Lakisova, a native of Minsk, Belarus, immigrated to the United States in 1995, and chose Chicago as her new home.

While in Belarus, Lyudmila earned her Master's Degree in Piano Performance, Pedagogy, and Chamber Music in 1993 with a Ph.D in Piano Accompaniment in 1995, both from the Belarus State Conservatory of Music in Minsk.

Lyudmila has become well known in Chicago music circles as a pianist and accompanist. She has given several performances in the Steinway Society Concert series as a soloist and with the Landolfi Trio.

In addition to her private piano teaching, Lyudmila provides her accompanying and coaching skills to students of many of Chicago's respected teachers.
