Works to include Mozart's 1st violin concerto, Serenade by Tchaikovsky, and the world premiere of PROGRESSIVE DANCE FOR STRINGS AND PIANO a work specially commissioned by the LCP from US-born British composer, MG (Michael) Mills. LONDON CHAMBER PLAYERS IS A CHAMBER ORCHESTRA COMPRISED OF AN INTERNATIONAL GROUP OF PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS FROM THE FINEST ORCHESTRAS AROUND THE WORLD (E.G. BBC, SOUTHBANK SINFONIA, PARIS OPERA, WELSH NATIONAL OPERA, NEW ZEALAND PHILHARMONIC, VERBIER, NEW JAPAN IN TOKYO) including WINNERS OF PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS. COMPOSER MG MICHAEL MILLS (US-born, British) is an accomplished art film composer and the former composer-in-residence of the London Philharmonic Orchestra OEO, the Deal Music Festival. His music can be heard at www.mgmills.com and at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Winnipeg, Canada within the films of TATE MODERN ARTIST SHEZAD DAWOOD. The world première of Mills' new work entitled PROGRESSIVE DANCE FOR STRINGS AND PIANO was commissioned by the London Chamber Players in October 2011 and will receive its world premiere performance by the same. VIOLINIST YURI ZHISLIN studied in Moscow before moving to London and becoming a professor at the Royal College of Music. The founder of the London Chamber Players, Bulgarian-born pianist and CONDUCTOR IVAN YANAKOV made his New York Carnegie Recital debut as the prizewinner of the Artist's International Award.
