Noreen Wenjen earned a B.M., Piano Performance from the UCSB
and an Artist Diploma from the Nat’l Guild of Piano Teachers. Noreen started
piano with Nancy Perry at age 5 ½ and performed competitively for the next 20
years.  She received 1st place in
the Krenék Competition, 2nd place in the Chopin, Schubert, &
Master Class divisions of the Joanna Hodges Internat’l Piano Competition.  Mentors Joanna Hodges, Peter Yazbeck,
Dr. Stewart Gordon, and Jim McCormick, have family trees of piano teachers can
be traced back to Beethoven and Liszt! 
She has taught piano for 19 years to children as young as age 3 at her
Torrance and Seal Beach studios. 
She is a NCTM and judge for MTAC, SYMF, and Piano Guild.  Her book Night, Night, Stars So
Bright
is on Amazon.  Enjoys surfing, cooking, yoga, running,
cycling, art.
