Biography

            Robert P. Glick is Associate Professor of Church Music and Organ at Erskine College and Theological Seminary and also serves as Director of the Master of Church Music Degree Program. He has taught at Erskine since 1988.          Previously, he was full-time Minister of Music at the First Presbyterian Church, Greenville, S.C. and at Advent Lutheran Church, Reading, PA. He now serves as Organist at the First Presbyterian Church, Greenwood, S.C.

A native of Lebanon, PA., he graduated from Lebanon Valley College, Annville, PA in 1973 with a B.S. degree in Music Education, majoring in Organ.   He holds the Master of Sacred Music degree from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, where he studied with Robert Anderson, Lloyd Pfautsch, and Jane Marshall.  He also holds the Master of Divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church, USA.

            Mr. Glick is active as an organ teacher and recitalist, music workshop leader, and consultant for numerous churches and denominations.  His organ playing has been showcased on National Public Radio's Pipedreams program. He has composed and arranged music for both organ and choir which has been published by Augsburg, Hope, Belwin Mills and Warner Brothers Publishing Companies. His first book, With All Thy Mind: Worship that Honors the Way God Made Us, was published in 2006 by The Alban Institute.
