Biography

Since 2010, The Harbor Trio has been collaborating on recitals that explore the rich and diverse song repertoire for soprano, baritone, and piano. Based in New York and Boston, the trio has performed extensively in venues across the United States.

Soprano Deborah Selig debuted the role of Musetta (La Bohème) at the 2012 Central City Opera Festival “with delicious, coquettish and virtuosic abandon.”  Ms. Selig has performed with a number of American opera companies, including Chautauqua, Dayton, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, and Santa Fe Operas.  In 2013, she returns to Kentucky Opera for a role debut of Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and makes a house debut with Boston Lyric Opera for Pamina (The Magic Flute).  Ms. Selig has soloed with various symphony orchestras including Albany, Asheville, Cape Cod, Cincinnati, Handel and Haydn Society, Kentucky and Rhode Island Philharmonic. This season, Ms. Selig returns to Dayton Philharmonic (Brahms’ Requiem), Rhode Island Philharmonic (Handel’s Messiah), Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra (New Year’s Day Gala), Nashoba Valley Chorale (both Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Mozart’s Requiem), and Ravinia Festival’s Steans Institute for their 25th Anniversary Spring Tour.  www.deborahselig.com
