David Bruehwiler was born 10th of October, 1955 in Horgen/Switzerland. He began to play piano and to take lessons at the age of 6. In his early years he shaped his ears playing along with the recordings of pop and jazz stars. 1984 he started to create his own classical language, at the same time studying church organ and baroque counterpoint intensively.
