Biography

Rastko Buljančević is 19 years old pianist from Montenegro. He took his first steps into the piano world at age of 12 under mentorship of Irena Mijuskovic. Three years later, Rastko continued studying with Lidija Molchanova. He has won three national competitions (in 2007, 2009 and 2010), is the winner of Montenegro's Chopin competition (2010) and has also won a special prize for best interpretation of Chopin's work and the 3rd prize at "Davorin Yenko" competition (2010). 2011 in Republic competition he won a special prize and maximum points. He has participated in many concerts, festivals and other cultural events playing solo recitals. He also took part on various masterclasses of renowned pianists such as Vladimir Babin (Croatia), Liza Suica (Serbia), Aleksandar Serdar (Serbia), Jurij Kot (Ukrain) and Biljana Gorunovic (Serbia). He has also collaborated with internationally acclaimed serbian conductor Darinka Matic Marovic. He is currently attending music "Academy of Arts" in Novi Sad under mentorship of Biljana Gorunovic.
