Klaidi Sahatçi was born in Tirana, Albania and began his musical studies at the age of six in his home town in Liceu Artistik “Jordan Misja”. In 1992 he moved to Italy to enrich his musical knowledge and was admitted at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan. In 1994 he obtained the violin diploma with the highest grade cum laude, and a mention of honour under the guidance of G. Maestri. He then continued studying with Salvatore Accardo at the W. Stauffer Academy in Cremona and afterwards with Boris Garlitzky in Lyon. Winner of the First Prize Rovere d’Oro at the International Competition of S.Bartolomeo al Mare, the scholarship offered by “Sergio Dragoni” Foundation and the First Prize “Marco Koliqi” organized by the Rotary Club Milan Klaidi Sahatçi made his début as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra “Guido Cantelli” and with the Orchestra Sinfonica della Radio Televisione Italiana in Milan with very successful results.Klaidi Sahatci played as soloist with Lyon National Orchestra, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Zürcher Kammer Orchester, I Virtuosi Italiani, Orchestra da Camera di Milano, I Cameristi della Scala etc. He also has an intensive concert activity with chamber music ensembles. He played for many important seasons such as the “Settimane Musicali” in Lugano, Tonhalle Zurich, “Società del Giardino” , “Società dei Concerti” and Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He performs chamber music with musicians of international fame such as Raffael Oleg, Bruno Canino, Dmitry Sitkovetski,Julian Rachlin and with many other artists taking part in important events. In Lyon he partecipated to the execution of the complete chamber music works of Mendelssohn, Schubert and Ravel. In Paris, in the salle Gaveau, he performed as soloist and conductor with Cameristi della Scala to promote Milan Expo 2015. He has recorded for Mezzo,CLC, France3 and TLM in France, Radio Rai in Italy, Drs, Rtsi in Switzerland and Gasparo Records in Usa. In August 2005 he was personally invited by Shlomo Mintz to join the jury of the International Competition of Violin of Sion Valais in Switzerland. From 1995 to 2001 he was Violon Solo of the Orchestre National de Lyon.From 2004 to 2007 Klaidi Sahatçi was first Concertmaster of the Zürcher Kammer Orchester.In 2007 he was appointed first Concertmaster of the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and Scala Philharmonic Orchestra . Klaidi Sahatci is currently first Concertmaster of the Tonhalle Orchestra in Zürich. Klaidi Sahatçi plays a Antonio Stradivarius violin the “Wieniawsky“ of 1719 offered by Mercedes-Benz Zurich.
