Biography

Yuri Bryushkov (1903 - 1971)

Soviet pianist.  Graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 1925 (class of K. Kipp), continued the post-graduate studies with Konstantin Igumnov.  Received a diploma on the first Chopin Piano competition (1927).  From 1952 to 1962 -- the Director of the Leningrad Conservatory.
