Biography

Pianist Adela Hyeyeon Park has distinguished herself as one of the outstanding young Korean concert artists. Besides winning top honors in her native Korea and internationally, she has been a prizewinner at the Ettlingen and Prix Amadeo International Competition in Germany, Maria Canals Competition in Spain and Oberlin, and the Hugo Kauder and Corpus Christi International Competition in the USA.

As a chamber musician, Ms. Park has won the first prize at the Plowman Chamber Music Competition and second prize at New England Chamber Music Competition. In recent seasons, her performances led her to numerous venues such as Merkin Hall, Steinway Hall, Philips Collection, Kennedy Center, Palacio de Festivales in Spain, and Salzburg Mozart Saal in Austria. Her solo and chamber performances were broadcast on KBS and EBS television in Korea, and national television in Spain and Mexico.

Ms. Park received her Bachelor of Music Degree from Korean National University of Arts and a Master of Music degree and Artist Diploma at Yale University, studying with Peter Frankl. Currently, she is pursuing the Doctoral of Musical Arts degree at Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University under the tutelage of Yong Hi Moon.
