Avner Arad (A.Arad), Piano
Biography
Pianist Avner Arad studied in Israel and attended the Eastman School of Music as a pupil of Barry Snyder, the Curtis Institute as a pupil of Seymour Lipkin, and the Juilliard School, where he earned a Master's degree with Rudolf Firkusny and Emanuel Ax. He appears regularly throughout the United States and internationally as soloist and as collaborative artist, and his recordings include Janácek's complete works for piano, a Schumann disc for solo piano, and Bloch's complete works for violin and piano.
Mr. Arad was a participant in the Steans Institute for Young Artists at the Ravinia Festival in 1994 and 1995 and has returned each subsequent summer as a collaborating pianist in the program
