Biography

Déborah Wanderley (violin) began lessons at age 10 with Patricia Mello at the Escola de Musica de Brasilia. Two years later she made her solo orchestral debut with the Orquestra Arte Brasilia. She played in the Youth Orchestra of the Americas, and at age 18 won a position with the Porto Alegre Symphony, one of Brazil's most respected orchestras. Soon thereafter Déborah came to the attention of Alex Klein, former principal oboe of the Chicago Symphony, who introduced her to Richard Young. Last year Déborah attended the Vancouver Academy of Music, and is now studying violin and viola with Mr. Young at North Park University.
