My uncle Ernesto Araujo-Alvarez Reyna and my father Héctor worked together in the creation of the first sumphonic orchestra in Peru in 1938, taking advanatage of the persecution of jews during the Nazi regime. Many distinguished jewish musicians came to Lima and the National Symphonic Orchestra of Peru was inaugurated the 11th of november 1938 unde the director Theo Buchbald and some 48 jewish musicians, all of them first class concertinos.
