Born into a musical family, Nico studied at the State Conservatoire of Cosenza, Italy until the age of 18. After a five-year break from the keyboard, he resumed his studies at the London College of Music, where he completed a music degree and gained his diploma in pianoforte performance.
At the LCM, he performed in masterclasses held by pianists including John Lill, Howard Shelley and Clifford Benson. In his final year, he won a competition resulting in his performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto K. 466 with the LCM Orchestra.
