Biography
The Peridot String Quartet is comprised of four women in their early twenties who have come together this summer for intensive chamber music study with Richard Young of the Vermeer Quartet. Despite their very different backgrounds - Texas, Brazil, China, and Kentucky - they prove that a unified result can be achieved quickly when youthful idealism and passion are tempered by discipline. Immediately following today's concert, they will fly to Europe to participate in the Daniel Festival in the Netherlands, where they will continue their advanced studies with the Vermeer and Jerusalem quartets.
