Biography
At
age twenty-four, Yevgeny Kutik is
rapidly gaining attention as a highly sought-after young artist on the concert
stage today. His most recent
performances have included appearances with the Tokyo Vivaldi Ensemble in
Japan, a New York City premiere of the Tsontakis Violin Concerto No.2 with the
Riverside Symphony which was acclaimed by the New York Times, the world-premiere performance of the violin
concerto 'Versus' by Ron Ford with the Tanglewood Music Center
Orchestra praised by both The New York
Times and The Boston Globe,
and a return appearance with the Boston Pops Orchestra under the baton of Keith
Lockhart. Mr. Kutik has recently
appeared in recital in San Francisco, Washington D.C., Miami, Tokyo, Munich
and Montreal.
He
first made his debut with the Boston Pops Orchestra and Maestro Lockhart in
2003 playing the Sibelius Concerto as 1st prize winner of the Boston
Symphony Young Artists Competition.
Since then he has also been awarded a 2006 Salon de Virtuosi Grant as
well as the 2006 Tanglewood Music Center Jules Reiner Violin Prize.
Highlights
of Mr. Kutik's current season include a return appearance with the Tokyo
Vivaldi Ensemble in Japan, and a German tour featuring his debut with the WDR
Radio Symphony in Koln, and a recital at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt. Mr. Kutik will also perform in Austria, Switzerland, Spain, New Mexico, California, New York and Boston. He will be
continuing his work with the United Jewish Communities' Speakers Bureau,
performing in programs to promote the assistance of refugees from around the
