Jennifer Bartel (j.bartel), Flute

Biography

Jennifer Bartel received her Bachelor of Music degree from DePaul University and a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music.  Ms. Bartel is the recipient of many awards including: winner of the Union League Civic and Arts Foundation competition; first place winner in the Society of American Musicians Young Artist Competition; and winner of the University of Chicago Concerto Competition where she performed Nielsen's Concerto for Flute.

She has performed with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Rockford Symphony Orchestra, Park Ridge Civic Orchestra, and the Kenosha Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Bartel has served as a board member of the Chicago Flute Club as Director and Competition Coordinator.  She is on the flute faculty of the Lake Forest Symphony Music School and runs a private flute studio in Highland Park.
