Musician's or Publisher's Notes

Todd would always record these unaccompanied works in a dry recording studio and would record each work in one take with no splices. I have added a lot of reverb to his recording because I think that is how they would have been presented in Bach's day in whitewashed, plastered stone castles and palaces. I think the reverb makes it easier to hear the harmony present in the arpeggiated chords.

It is interesting to note that there was a revolution going on in musical acoustics in Bach's day with Luther's predigekirchen having dry acoustics while earlier churches had resonant acoustics. Bach would have been familiar with both.
