Anatoly Liadov (1855 –1914) was a well–known Russian composer and conductor, a master of miniature. Only a few of his compositions exceed fifteen minutes. His music breathes with poetry and charm, reaching out to the spirit of impressionism, but holding on to the romantic memory of Chopin and Schumann.
