Biography

Berry-Steinhoff-Moy Trio

Brandi Berry, violin, has appeared with various groups throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Chicago's own Newberry Consort, Toronto's Classical Music Consort, the Indianapolis and Atlanta Baroque Orchestras, Baroque Band, Musical Offering, Bourbon Baroque, and the Fort Wayne Bach Collegium. Ms. Berry has also appeared as soloist or section leader of the Madison Bach Musicians and St. Louis' Kingsbury Ensemble.

She has performed in numerous festivals throughout North America, including solo performances with Ars Musica Chicago and Crested Butte Mountain Institute, the Boston and Berkeley Early Music Festivals, as concertmaster of the Bloomington Early Music Festival Opera Orchestra, Opera in the Ozarks as a principal, and at the Tafelmusik Baroque Institute and Vancouver Early Music programs.  Ms. Berry was also a semi-finalist in the American Bach Soloists' 2008 Young Artist Competition.  
 
A student of Stanley Ritchie and Cynthia Roberts, Ms. Berry holds degrees in violin performance from Indiana University and the University of North Texas. Upcoming appearances include with the King's Noyse, and with her ensemble (co-founded with Curtis Foster), the Bach and Beethoven Ensemble.

Anna Steinhoff, cellist, enjoys making music old and new. As a baroque cellist she is a regular member of Chicago's period instrument orchestra Baroque Band, and has performed with the Bach and Beethoven Ensemble, the Classical Music Consort, and The Opera Company. As a modern cellist, Anna is a member of the Accende Ensemble, and has performed with many local ensembles including the Chicago Philharmonic, the Chicago Civic Orchestra, the New Millennium Orchestra and Dal Niente.

A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory and Northwestern University, Anna studied with Peter Rejto and Hans Jensen. In addition to classical music, Anna has recorded and performed with bands such as Saturday Looks Good To Me, Function Ensemble, City Cricket, Track a Tiger, Mira Mira, and Ontologist.

Jason J. Moy holds degrees in harpsichord and Early Music performance from McGill University in Montreal, where he was a student of Hank Knox and Luc Beauséjour.  Jason is currently based in his native Chicago, but has concertized throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, including a recent appearance at the prestigious York Early Music Festival in the United Kingdom.

A highly regarded continuo player and accompanist on both harpsichord and organ, Jason has performed with some of the most respected ensembles in Chicago, including the Bach Week Festival Orchestra, Ars Antigua, Oriana Singers and the Chicago Chamber Musicians.  He has also appeared live on BBC Radio 3, WFMT 98.7 and on television for CBS2 Chicago.  Jason is currently a faculty member of the DePaul University School of Music.
