Musician's or Publisher's Notes

David Sampsons music has played an integral part in establishing a repertoire of substance for the brass quintet.  His goal is not only to create powerful music for the brass quintet but also to create works of great diversity. Still, his 10th work for brass quintet, is a work of subtle beauty and slowly developing sound colors, a remarkable aesthetic for instruments usually known for playing fanfares.  It was written for the Gaudete Brass Quintet in 2013.  David also wrote Chicago Moves for the GBQ in 2011.       The Gaudete Brass Quintet
