Concerto No. 6 in D Major, from Twelve Concertos in Seven Parts          Michael Festing

Adagio, Largo, Allegro, Andante, Allegro assai, Allegro

A pupil of Geminiani, Michael Festing was primarily a virtuoso of the violin—after an auspicious debut in 1724, he continued on to become the Master of the King's Musick in 1735.  Together with Handel, Boyce, Edward Purcell (son of Henry), among others, he was a co-founder of the Society of Musicians.
