Musician's or Publisher's Notes

Fritz Kreisler was a violinist and composer known for his refined playing, expressive phrasing, and distinct tone. His works exude a distinctly Viennese flavor, and seem to have organically emerged from his characteristic playing style.  Liebesfreud (‘Love’s Joy’) is no exception, as it perfectly reflects the simplicity and elegance of pre-war Vienna.      Akiko Kobayashi
